Work camps

CeLIM organizes summer work camps in Zambia and Mozambique, where it has been present for years with development projects managed by Italian volunteers and local staff.

Work camp is an experience of sharing and exchange with a community: combining holiday and solidarity, it makes possible to live from inside the local reality and it is a great opportunity for personal enrichment.

Destination

Zambia – Livingston

First shift: from 12th July to 2nd August

Second shift: from 6th September to 27th September

Activities

Education and entertainment

Requirements

Knowledge of English language and attitude for entertainment and recreational activities

Costs

Costs are the followings:

REGISTRATION FEE of 20 euros
SOLIDARIETY FEE of 70 euros assigned to the project the camp works for
PARTICIPATION FEE (depending on the ticket) of 1450 euros including:

Flight
Insurance
Training managed by CeLIM
Organizational costs
Escort

COMMON FUND's contribution (to be taken away) of 570 euros including:

Board and lodging
Visa
Fuel cost

Destination

Mozambique – Maxixe

One single shift: from 27th July to 17th August (to be confirmed)

Activities

Recreational activities with educational aims and practical laboratories in common nurseries

Requirements

Knowledge of Portuguese language is advisable, but not fundamental

Costs

Costs are the followings:

REGISTRATION FEE of 20 euros
SOLIDARIETY FEE of 20 euros assigned to the project the camp works for
PARTICIPATION FEE (depending on the air ticket) for 1570 euros including:

Flight
Insurance
Training managed by CeLIM
Organizational costs
Escort

COMMON FUND's contribution (to be taken away) of 710 euros including:

Board and lodging
Visa
Fuel cost

Participants

Work camp is open to everyone, youths (minimum 18 years old) and adults.

Pre-registration for the 1st shift in Zambia closes on 5th June.

Pre-registration for the 2nd shift in Zambia closes on 14th August.

Pre-registration for Mozambique closes on 26th June.

Training

For each destination (Zambia and Mozambique) two meetings are provided:

13th-14th-15th JUNE	Valdagno (VI): 3 days of knowledge and training about cooperation, the Millennium Goals, CeLIM projects currently running and focus on work camps project with group activities
OCTOBER	brainstorming and evaluation of the experience
